Its 29inch wheels and supple air sprung suspension, courtesy of a Suntour Raidon 32 Boost fork and RockShox Deluxe rear shock, iron the bumps out of the trail to keep you charging. Thanks to plenty of reach and a relaxed head angle, the DSE fires down descents like a missile, but it’s a proper climber too. Once you have raised the TransX dropper post and flicked-through the Shimano Deore gears, it’s surprising how easily this bike ascends steep terrain.
